The Biggest Flirts

Lately I have been reading a book called The Superlatives Biggest Flirts. This book is about Tia, a teenage girl the same age as me, a senior in high school as well. Tia lives life as if nothing has consequences and tends to feel as though she doesn't have romantic feelings. She doesn't care what boys heart she breaks, she just wants to "hook up" with anyone that she wants. As I continued in the book, I realized she was a lot like me in a way. She was intelligent, but chose to be lazy so that way no one was able to see it. She didn't want anything close to what sounded like a commitment. She appreciated being the flirt that she was. Her friends knew this was who she was, but they just want her to settle down. As I keep reading, I start to make more and more comparisons between Tia and myself. The more comparisons that I make, the more I realize that me and Tia both need to change.
I have not yet finished with the book yet, but I read enough to realize that Tia made the same realization that I made earlier. I find it crazy that I always manage to pick up a book, and to find out that the main character is me, but written out and described on a bunch of pages. This book is a life lesson for those who enjoy living the single life, but don't know what it's like on the other side. It's more like a lecture, but in a subtle way. It tricks you into learning about the danger of a "harmless" flirt.
